These terms and conditions apply to all clients of di.is and affiliated companies and websites of Different Iceland ehf, the owner of di.is.

Website Conditions

By using di.is or any affiliated website, you agree to be legally bound by these terms, which shall take effect immediately.

If you disagree to be legally bound by all the following Terms & Conditions, please do not use Different Iceland or affiliated websites.

Different Iceland may change these Terms & Conditions anytime by posting changes online. Please review these Terms & Conditions regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes made. Your continued use of di.is or an affiliated websites after changes are posted means you agree to be legally bound by these terms as updated and/or amended.

You agree to use di.is website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else’s use and enjoyment of Different Iceland.

Your use of di.is or any affiliated sites is intended for personal, use and/or to make legitimate requests to book the products or services offered, or sell the services you offer. You agree not to use this site to make any speculative, false or fraudulent requests. You agree not to use robots or other automated means to access this site unless specifically permitted by Different Iceland.

You represent and warrant that you:

  1. Have not previously been suspended by Different Iceland or otherwise banned from the site.
  2. Are not a direct competitor of Different Iceland.
  3. Do not have more than one Different Iceland account at any given time.
  4. That you have full power and authority to enter into these Terms of Service and in doing so will not violate any other agreement to which you are a party.

We grant you permission to use the site subject to the restrictions in these Terms & Conditions. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, download, post, broadcast, transmit, make available to the public, or otherwise use content owned by Different Iceland (inclusive of text, images, URLs, pricing information, etc.) in any way except for your own personal use. Any commercial use of Different Iceland content requires the prior written permission of Different Iceland.

Booking Conditions

Different Iceland confirms a booking from di.is when a client has made a booking. Once Different Iceland has accepted a booking, the contract between Different Iceland and client will become binding. The client is bound to show up at the departure point at the published time and pay the rest of the tour fee, and Different Iceland is bound to deliver the tour. Conditions on cancelling can be found below.

Client Responsibility

Upon booking, you confirm that you have studied and familiarized yourself with the terms and conditions of Different Iceland and fully agree to all terms and conditions. You also confirm that you fulfill all conditions set by Different Iceland and are physically able to follow our instructions and partake in all activities planned for you and operated by us. If unsure, please contact our office.

Parents and/or legal guardians take full responsibility for damages caused by passengers they are responsible for. Children (under 18 years in accordance of Icelandic law) cannot use the services of Different Iceland without accompanying parent or legal guardian.

Our Liability & Compensation

Different Iceland will accept liability for the negligence of its employees causing direct physical injury to passengers only to the extent that it is obliged under Icelandic law. Different Iceland cannot be held responsible for any mishap to yourself or your property, and in particular for the consequences of flight cancellations, vehicle accidents, strikes, sickness, Government, customs or police intervention or other such happenings amounting to force majeure. By confirming your booking with Different Iceland, you acknowledge that we have taken all reasonable steps to safeguard our liability in this respect. Different Iceland reserves the right to suspend passengers from the tours if the passengers are inebriated or show unacceptable or improper behaviour.

Cancellation Policies

Private Tour and Tailor Made Private Tour cancellation policies

The client is able to cancel the tour up until 24 hours prior to departure without a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee is 100% of the tour fee if cancelled within 24 hours from departure of the tour.

Shore Excursions Cancellation fee

For the cruise ships, the cancellation policy does not apply if the ship does not make it to the harbour. In case of the ship not reaching the pier, you’ll receive a full refund without cancellation fee. Otherwise normal cancellation fee for day tours applies.

Changes and Cancellations by Different Iceland

Before you enter into a contract with us, we reserve the right to change any of the facilities or services described in our brochure or website. We also reserve the right to cancel the booking due to weather or if a minimum number of passengers of a departure is not met. Any changes are usually very minor, and we will advise you at the earliest possible date. If a major change, such as change in departure time, becomes necessary, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible your tours begins. When a major change or cancellation occurs, you will have the choice of accepting the change of arrangements, purchasing another available tour from us, or cancelling your tour. If a booking is cancelled, we will refund all payments made directly to us in respect of the tour price. We will not refund any personal expenses you may have incurred as a result of your booking, such as flight payments for land-only tours, travel insurance, equipment purchases, visas, vaccinations, etc.
